For Christmas I asked for money from my relatives as I knew that I wanted to buy makeup. After much deliberation, I spent it all yesterday on four items. Four beautiful items.
This is my selection. I was careful on not buying the entirely same products as I do have a long list on my phone of my wish list of makeup that I will buy in time, so I wasn't going to buy three foundations all at once as makeup does unfortunately go off.
My first purchase was the Nars 'Sheer Glow' Foundation. I have heard so many good reviews about this foundation. It has more of a natural coverage which is easily buildable if you are more into a heavier coverage. It is oil free so is good for combination/oily skin too. It is quite pricey at £31 and I bought the pump too for an extra £3 so as not to waste any product. I am the shade Mont Blanc.
This is the Urban Decay 'Naked 3' Palette. As I love the original Naked palette so much, I decided to buy another one of their palettes. I already own the Gwen Stefani one, so I bought Naked 3 as it has more pink toned eyeshadows which I haven't really got. I still love though that it is more on the gold side rather than silver, as I prefer the warmer colours for my skin tone. It was £38.
Next are some lip choices.
I had a £20 Boots voucher, and so I really wanted to use it for a more high end makeup choice, and I thought that there is nothing more classic than a Chanel lipstick. This is the Chanel 'Rouge Allure 165' Lipstick which is a beautiful vibrant pink lipstick with slight undertones of red. I asked the lady at the counter if I could try it on and she spent so much time on me prepping my lips, applying it and she was so lovely. I'm always so nervous to have my makeup done but she made me feel so at home and was complimenting the way it looked on me loads so that by the time I left I was just strutting my stuff feeling fabulous. Loved it! This was £26, but I only paid £6 (bargain!).
My next and last purchase was a MAC 'Oh Lady' Retro Matte Liquid Lipcolour. Ever since these came out I have wanted one of each shade. I thought that I would start with one and slowly build up, so my first choice was this dark purple shade as I have been obsessed with purple lipstick recently. I have heard mixed reviews about these, so am also excited to see how comparable they are to other matte lipsticks. This was £21.
