February Favourites

February has been such a blur for me and so busy! I have mostly been sticking to old favourites this month. Let's just get right to it, shall we?

Favourite Makeup Product

MAC 'Brave'

Oh I do love MAC lipsticks. As you can see, I have almost finished this which is quite exciting for my inner beauty nerd. This is such a lovely nude with undertones of pink. MAC describe it as a pink - beige. This is such a lovely everyday shade, and it has been permanently attached to my lips. It is also a great alternative if you don't like brown nudes. When I do finish, I will definitely be repurchasing!

Favourite Beauty Product

LUSH 'Grease Lightning'

This month I have had so many spots, so this has been my best friend this month. I put it on overnight  and it just does its magic and reduces my spots. It's ingredients include witch hazel and tea tree which are known to be great at calming down angry spots. For the most effective use, you should apply it when the spot is only just forming. Now enough talk about spots.

Favourite Fashion Item

I have done a more detailed post here on these gorgeous shoes from Just Fab, but these have been my go to shoes for any evening occasion. They are so comfy and go with absolutely anything!

Favourite Book

The Book Thief

This book by Markus Zusak is narrated by death, and follows a young girl named Leisel through her life during the Rise of the Nazis. Leisel gets adopted by Rosa and Hans Hubermann who love her in very different ways. They are below the poverty line and already struggling, when they take in a Jewish housemate illegally. This is a story all about death, pain, politics and underlying love. Yet again, I have been following the theme of Nazi Germany, much like my favourite book of January. It is not an easy read, but it is enjoyable.

Favourite Item

I have been loving this dot to dot book. Each picture takes so long to complete but the satisfaction you get when you complete one is so good. In this book, each picture is of a famous face, for example Elvis and Mona Lisa. I have only done three so far, but I will definitely be finishing this book.

Favourite Film

The Impossible - this is a beautiful film telling the true story of the 2004 Indian Ocean Tsunami on Boxing Day. It is such a sad story, but the attention to detail I think is quite good. If you like The Titanic, you'll love this film. It is a heartbreaking story with a good family message.

Favourite Youtuber

ThatcherJoe. On his main channel he does a variety of challenge videos. My particular favourites are his prank videos on his roommate Caspar Lee and the shock videos. He also has a vlog channel where he uploads almost daily. He is such a funny individual and he is such a joy to watch.

Favourite Songs

Pillowtalk by Zayn, 7 Years by Lukas Graham and Here by Alessia Cara
