The Body Shop: Face Masks

I have always been a big fan of The Body Shop as they are one of my mum's favourite brands too. They are a fair trade company who use natural ingredients, so all of their products are made ethically and sustainably, which I think is just such a good bonus for the environment. Recently, I have been loving their face masks!

Seaweed Ionic Clay Mask

This one I have had for longer, as you can tell as it is still in the old packaging. This face mask targets  oily/combination skin as it controls excess oils and draws out impurities. This is a really thick cream that sets extremely hard, and I usually leave it on until it all sets (turns from light grey to dark grey) which is about ten minutes. It also has a pleasant, but subtle scent. I like to use this about once a week, and as it is such a thick face mask, I tend to do it in the evening so that I am not putting makeup on my skin for at least twelve hours to really feel the benefits. This is £14 and it lasts for quite a few applications, depending on how generous you are with it.

Tea Tree Skin Clearing Clay Mask

As the name suggests, this face mask is targeted more towards any type of skin, and it helps to remove impurities and control breakouts. This is a new one for me, and so far I have only used it once, but I did find that it did vary to the first mask noticeably. It was not as thick, feeling more like a moisturiser to apply, with a green colour. It did set though, after about 15 minutes. It does say to apply a generous amount, so I applied two layers, as the first one didn't look like enough. This has a much stronger scent of mint, but it isn't overpowering and doesn't linger. This one you can do more often I would say as it is a lighter consistency, so tailor it on how bad your skin is, but I would say for me about twice a week. This is slightly cheaper at £11 and I estimate that it has the same amount of applications as the first face mask.

Have you tried any Body Shop face masks?
