Back in February, I purchased this contouring palette from L'Oreal, and I showed it in this blog post. I have to say, I have not really jumped on board of the cream contouring trend, either because I have not found a shade light enough for it to look somewhat natural on me, or because I don't have the time or motivation to constantly clean my brushes. However, I did try and my first step was purchasing this product.
I bought it in the shade 01 Light/Medium, but if you are in the category of 'light', this really is not the shade for you. The highlight shade is my actual skin shade, so it doesn't so much highlight anything as just add a layer of coverage, and the contouring shade is quite dark, with a slight orange undertone. For these reasons, it doesn't quite work for me, but I am still trying and will keep you updated if anything changes and I suddenly become a master at cream contouring.
However, if you have darker skin than me, this could be a good option for you. The shades are easy to blend, and you do get a considerable amount of product - especially for £9.99, which is a very affordable price. The shades are both matte too, which allows a natural look as there is no unnecessary shine or glitter. I quite like the packaging too, it is simple yet slim and light. If you want to see this product used in action, this video by Amelia Liana made me interested enough to purchase it - here.
